Care guide / Take your questions
Take the questions that a sales page cannot answer.
Keep this list beside you at the visit, or print it. There is room for a pause: an answer that needs explaining is still an unfinished answer.

Keep this question
What is still unanswered?
Ask for the reason in plain words
What health problem are we assessing?
Why is tesamorelin being considered for that problem?
What choices would you discuss if I did not want this medicine?
Keep the product and the plan specific
The medicine
Which exact tesamorelin product and form do you mean?
Which pharmacy would fill it, and how can I check that name?
Is this for the approved use or a different health problem?
The checks
Tesamorelin increases IGF-1, which is found in blood and helps cells in the body grow.
Who will check my blood sugar before treatment and during it?
Who checks my IGF-1 level during treatment?
How would my health history and other medicines change the assessment?
The follow-through
How will we decide whether it is helping?
Who can I reach with a new symptom?
What would make you review or end the treatment plan?
What is the full cost, including visits, tests and medicine?
Beside each answer, note who gave it and what still needs checking. An answer of “not yet known” can be useful if there is a clear way to find out.
Short answers to common starting questions
Is tesamorelin meant for weight loss?
The September 2026 US label says tesamorelin (Egrifta SV, Egrifta WR) is not meant for weight-loss care.
Can a pharmacy make its own tesamorelin?
No; as of September 2026, tesamorelin is a biologic, a type of medicine whose approval rules bar pharmacies from making their own copies.
Does an online visit always avoid an in-person exam?
No; state medical board guidance calls for sending the patient for an in-person visit when the assessment needs a physical exam.
Leave with an answer you can use
Ask the person assessing you to explain any term that blocks your understanding. Then say back the plan in your own words. Check whether it matches what they meant.
Before agreeing to ongoing care, bring the product name, the checks and the full bill together. If a key answer is missing, keep it on the list.

This checkbook helps you question tesamorelin care; it is a guide, never a clinic or a place that sells treatment.
